I love Venice. However, it is a bit expensive to fly all the way over to Italy and see it as much as I’d ideally want to. Flying to Walt Disney World and Epcot… is not quite as bad. I am really a huge fan of Epcot. Every time I visit there I fall in love with it a little bit more. One of my favorite places in Epcot (and I do have a lot of them) is the Italy Pavilion. They cram as much of Italy as they can [Read More]

One of my favorite places at any Disney Magic Kingdom is Main Street. Disneyland, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, or Disneyland Paris; it doesn’t matter. I love Main Street. I love it even more when you can find a piano down at the end of it but even without it I love Main Street. This is more than likely because of growing up in a small town in the Midwest as a kid. Although I will admit, our “Main Street,” if you can call it that, never looked as perfect as any [Read More]
I love Epcot. It is one of my favorite Disney theme parks. It is so completely different than all the other parks at both Walt Disney World and other domestic and international Disney theme parks. There are some absolutely beautiful little locations at Epcot. The Canada pavilion has one of my favorites. This is a little cottage that can be seen as walking up to the Canada pavilion using the entrance on the right. Every time I see it I think, “I want to live in that cottage!” It is [Read More]
Last fall I went on a fairly impromptu trip to Walt Disney World. A couple of days into the trip we finally made it to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This was after a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom so one of the first things on our agenda was to get food. We did so at the ABC Commissary. When we went in, it didn’t look like this. However, later in the evening after we had eaten we happened past the Commissary again. This time, there was nobody in sight. It always [Read More]
Last November I got to take an unexpected trip to Walt Disney World. It was a wonderful week away. One of my favorite places at Walt Disney World is Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I just love animals and adventures and this park has both! It is also an absolutely beautiful park. One of my favorite things to do there is to go on the Kilimanjaro Safari. It reminds me of Disneyland’s World Famous Jungle Cruise, but with real animals and no cruise…because you are on a jeep.
This picture I took while on [Read More]
The Norway Pavilion at Epcot is one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World. Today I discovered The Song of Norway soundtrack on Spotify. I haven’t heard this music in YEARS! For those of you who don’t know what The Song of Norway is, I’ll give a brief explanation. It is an operetta (basically a mix between musical theater and opera) that tells the story of Edvard Grieg using his own music.
What does this have to do with Epcot and Disney you ask? I’m getting there, I promise. For [Read More]
It has been awhile since I posted a Where’s Mr. DAPs? so I thought today would be a GREAT day to do just that! As you may recall, the last one was taken at the Toon Town Train Station. I can promise you that this one was not taken there. In fact, this one could have been taken from the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Paris. I’ll be nice and give you the clue that it wasn’t taken at the Walt Disney Family Museum, which for the record [Read More]
We’ve all seen it happen, Donald Duck blowing his top, putting up his fists, jumping up and down, and quacking some unintelligible jabber. I’ve been reminded more and more lately at how important it is to be positive. I think most people would agree that yes, it is a good thing to be positive. I think they’d also start questioning why I’m writing this on a blog that mainly focuses on Disney, Star Trek, The Hobbit, Star Wars, and other topics that are more on the geeky side. There is a reason! [Read More]
A lot was going on at the Disneyland Resort this weekend, most involved D23 and the Destination D event. One of the things that definitely got my attention was the unveiling of some details about Star Tours. For years it had been rumored that Star Tours was going to be updated and it seems like everyone had ideas for what they’d like to see on an updated Star Tours. Now after years of dreaming, speculating, and wondering, we are close to seeing what the people who have power came up [Read More]
