One of the things I really enjoy at Disneyland is the parade. Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is an explosion of sound, color, and movement. Beyond that, it is just a lot of fun. It captures Disney Magic and puts it in a parade. On Sunday, I was at a unique angle where I was able to capture some of the magic of the parade and couple it with one of the icons of Disney magic, Sleeping Beauty Castle. I’m not entirely sure why but I really like how this picture turned [Read More]

The week between Christmas and New Years is always a busy week at Disneyland. Busy perhaps is an understatement. Those who visit during this week often find themselves caught in a struggle to simply survive rather than having the wonderful and magical time that should be having! Here are a few tips to keep your visit to the happiest place on earth, happy!
Be Prepared – Wear shoes that are comfortable. Plan on staying in the park for the duration of the day so either carry a backpack or rent a [Read More]
I took this picture a few weeks ago from Christmas Tree Point on Main Street, USA at Disneyland. I love everything that is going on behind the wooden soldier in this picture. I think that is one of the great things about A Christmas Fantasy Parade at Disneyland at Christmas time. There is just so much that is going on and generally there is a little bit of something for everyone. There are a ton of Characters from all over the place and they are nicely spread out.
My favorite part [Read More]
Last night I had some free time so I ran into Disneyland for a couple of hours. During this time I enjoyed some of the Christmas offerings Disneyland has going on. This included A Christmas Fantasy Parade, the snow effects on Main Street and Sleeping Beauty Castle and of course It’s a Small World. I didn’t ride on the last one though as the line was pretty long. I did enjoy taking some pictures of all of them. I hope you enjoy this gallery! There are a couple of shots [Read More]
Thursday night found tears of both happiness and sadness along the parade route at Disneyland as people said goodbye to Celebrate: A Street Party. Many people loved singing and dancing along with the performers during this high energy party. Others had issues with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Wendy doing just that to songs like I Love Rock n’ Roll.
Celebrate: A Street Party opened on Friday March 27, 2009. It included nearly 100 performers including 48 dancers, stilts performers, bike riders, and Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, [Read More]
As most who follow my blog/twitter know, yesterday I spent a good portion of the day observing and participating in the taping of the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade at Disneyland. It was a fun and festive day to say the least and fun was had by all. I was lucky enough to be with awesome people and the people we stood next to were equally awesome.
We saved places on Main Street at about 8:30 and the wait began. Periodically I would run up to Sleeping Beauty Castle to take [Read More]
Today Disneyland was a buzz as the park was filled with the Christmas spirit for the recording of the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Things got started with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performing Christmas is Starting Now in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. He was joined by Kim Johnson and Louis Van Amstel from Dancing with the Stars for the performance of this song from Phineas and Ferb. They were followed by Selena Gomez who sang Winter Wonderland. Nick Cannon acted as the MC and filming finished at the castle [Read More]
Last night Kermit, Miss Piggy, Sweetums, and a bunch of friends made their way up Main Street and the parade route for the last time. As a part of the Year of Volunteering, they have been honoring volunteers daily for their service. This will be no more. For many of us Muppet fans, this was a dream come true. Kermit the Frog doesn’t make a lot of appearances so being able to see him in the cavalcade really was an amazing thing.
Kermit and crew have always been about friendship and [Read More]
