One of my favorite places at any Disney Magic Kingdom is Main Street. Disneyland, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, or Disneyland Paris; it doesn’t matter. I love Main Street. I love it even more when you can find a piano down at the end of it but even without it I love Main Street. This is more than likely because of growing up in a small town in the Midwest as a kid. Although I will admit, our “Main Street,” if you can call it that, never looked as perfect as any [Read More]

20 years ago Disneyland Paris opened its gates. There have been lots of changes since then, including a name, but one thing has remained the same; this is a wonderful continuation of Walt Disney’s legacy that started at Disneyland. I have visited Disneyland Paris a couple of times and absolutely love it. I took this picture in 2008 during my first visit to Disneyland Paris. I love how much is happening in this photo. If you look closely you can see some favorite Disney friends. You might also notice that [Read More]
This is a photo of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Paris from my last trip. As I picked out this photo I was watching the new Disney Dreams spectacular live streaming from Disneyland Paris. It seemed only fitting that I pick a photo for today from Disneyland Paris as I’m absolutely loving this show! I hope to be able to visit Disneyland Paris later this year and take more pictures there of the park and also this show. It is absolutely beautiful!
It has been awhile since I posted a Where’s Mr. DAPs? so I thought today would be a GREAT day to do just that! As you may recall, the last one was taken at the Toon Town Train Station. I can promise you that this one was not taken there. In fact, this one could have been taken from the Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Paris. I’ll be nice and give you the clue that it wasn’t taken at the Walt Disney Family Museum, which for the record [Read More]
We’ve all seen it happen, Donald Duck blowing his top, putting up his fists, jumping up and down, and quacking some unintelligible jabber. I’ve been reminded more and more lately at how important it is to be positive. I think most people would agree that yes, it is a good thing to be positive. I think they’d also start questioning why I’m writing this on a blog that mainly focuses on Disney, Star Trek, The Hobbit, Star Wars, and other topics that are more on the geeky side. There is a reason! [Read More]
I must admit, I thought when I took a picture in Adventureland and used it for the last Where’s Mr. DAPs?, I thought someone would guess it almost immediately. I was quite surprised when this didn’t happen and was even more surprised when it took so long and was so hard for people to figure it out! For those of you who didn’t hear, Where’s Mr. DAPs? – Take 7 was taken under the exit porch/stairway of Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. It’s easiest to see it from the outside queue [Read More]
The last Where’s Mr. DAPs? turned out to be a lot more difficult than I expected! I will admit, I hadn’t noticed it before taking the picture so I think it would have been equally hard for me. Now, the moment some of you have been waiting for. The unveiling of where that picture was. One person was fairly close by guessing in the hub facing the castle. While there are some similar light towers in the hub they are next to the wrong kind of trees. Where’s Mr. DAPs? [Read More]
You may or may not realize this but John Williams wasn’t the guy who came in and arranged the music for Star Tours. A guy named Richard Bellis was actually the guy who pulled together the music and arranged it for the original Star Tours. There is an amazing interview with Bellis over at the Endor Express if you want to read more about him and some of his history working musically in the Disney Theme Parks. Part of the interview focuses on his work on Star Tours and Indiana [Read More]
