What Happens When Two Holidays Collide

Yesterday I ran into Disneyland briefly to see some friends from out of town. As I walked down Main Street I was greeted with this site… a wintery wonderland for the Holiday Season surrounded by the fall colors of Halloweentime. Yes, it is that slightly weird time of year where we find Christmas and Halloween happening at the same time at Disneyland.

This isn’t completely strange in other parts of the country. Growing up in Minnesota and also on the North Slope of Mount Hood in Oregon as a kid, I can remember several Halloween seasons that were covered in snow. And let me tell you… sometimes that wasn’t so much fun to go trick or treating in. It definitely was always an adventure though!
