Then There Was a Storm…

As we continued moving west the clouds got darker. What was a 97 degree day turned to 71 degrees in just a few short minutes. All indications pointed towards a pretty substantial storm. Now, growing up in Minnesota we definitely had our fair share of storms. I was personally quite excited about getting to see another one. I was snapping pictures away like crazy because I thought it would be AWESOME to get a photo of lightning. I had never done this before. I honestly don’t know the trick to getting a picture of lightning but… I got lucky as you can see. It isn’t the greatest picture in the world but there IS lightning in it! I snapped this picture before we really were in the storm but I was still happy to at least get one! I now have hope that maybe next time I’ll get a better one… even if it is just a fool’s hope!

So…. if anyone has any tricks or tips on how to get photos of lightning… I would love to hear them! Thanks!
