Blue Swallow Motel

The Blue Swallow Motel is in Tucumcari, New Mexico along Route 66. This wonderful little motel was just along the side of the road as we drove through this delightful town. It totally is a blast from the past and if I had a little more time I really think it’d be fun to stay there while driving down Route 66. This motel opened in 1941 and has a wonderful history that is documented on their website. These are the little places along Route 66 that offer such a beautiful glimpse at this little American Historical Site. Take a few minutes to check out these websites. It is kind of fun to see some US History on an up close and smaller scale.
