Midpoint, Texas on Route 66

One of my favorite moments as we drove across to California from St. Louis was arriving in what is commonly called Midpoint, Texas but officially called Adrian, Texas. Now, this was exciting for me because there is a special place here that was influential in part of the making of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure. I will get into that in another blog though. This town was nothing overly exciting to write home about I will admit. It was well weathered. There were a few cute houses and quite a few remnants of the past…but for the most part it almost feels like a town that once was and perhaps wishes it were… This is the Midpoint of Route 66.
